The Federal government has begun payment of stipends to all the Ex-NYSC Corp members ranging from 2000-2016 across the nation, the finance minister stated during the Youth Empowerment Summit.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the Special Assistant to Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, Laolu Akande on Monday.
According to the statement, some of the states have already been funded and the participants will starts to receive bank alerts through the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).

He also stated that over 700,000 beneficiaries of the N-Power programme, close to 50% of the graduates, have now been physically verified, and started receiving their monthly stipends of N30,000 over the previous months.

About the Empowerment Grant.

Multi-purpose cooperative society limited is working in collaboration with financial Donor's consultant in collaboration with the UN and FG. Consultant is given the responsibility to create awareness to all Nigerian especially families, youth, communities, schools and Organization on the empowerment in which grant is been giving out to all Nigerians.

There are about 16 cooperative societies carrying out awareness and sensitization for all Nigerians to take advantages of this exercise and apply for the grant.

Point to Note:

This is a grant, not a loan. (Non refundable) however, beneficiaries are expected to empower others by way of provision of employment.

It is for all Nigerians, whether you are Christian, a Muslim or other Religion. Religious bodies can also use this platform to apply for grant to build churches.

Churches are also encouraged to use this platform to encourage members to apply for the grant in other to go into any business which will give them financial independence.

This is to encourage those yet to get employment to seek for individual means of empowerment. Because, an idle mind is the devil's workshop.

This is not meant to be used as a form of political project or loan meant for only particular party.

To access the Grant, YOU MUST REGISTER and be a member of one of the cooperative societies working with the consultant.

YOU MUST HAVE A PROJECT OR A BUSINESS.

You cannot access the money without a business or a project.

There are no special projects or business but all types of business are encouraged. You can choose any business of your choice so long as it will bring in an income for your family or increase whatever you were involved in.

You are allowed to run more than 3 projects but not more than four E.g farm, saloon and poultry or fishing. A combination of businesses that would allow you time to attend to others without being overwhelmed but yet successful.

There is also a Microfinance Bank attached to this project which would carry out disbursement for the beneficiaries.
