Here is the statement of Jim Kim
My heart goes out to Nepal in the wake of Saturday’s devastating earthquake. Nearly 4,000 people are known to have lost their lives. Many more are scared to return to their homes. It is still too early to know the extent of the destruction and loss of life. We’ve been in touch with the government and are conducting a damages and needs assessment. We will move resources to the area as soon as humanly possible.
